My name is Anoop Saldanha.  I'm a Cybersecurity Specialist, having extensive experience in designing and developing detection products ranging from IDS/IPS, Suricata, Firewalls, Malware Sandboxes, Host Endpoints. I also work on Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering and have authored the book Malware Analysis and Detection Engineering, published by Apress and Springer. My current new areas of focus is IoT Security, Device Fingerprinting and Risk Profiling.

I was also one of the core developers of Suricata, the Open Source IDS/IPS, developed by Open Information Security Foundation, funded by US DHS and US Navy's SPAWAR. I have previously worked in the Threat Research Labs and Platform/Detection Engineering teams at Cyphort Cybersecurity, at RSA Security and at Juniper Networks in their their Threat Labs, Platform Team and Endpoint teams.
